Description of work: The project includes the highway restoration of approximately 17.5 kilometres at various locations of the Alaska Highway #1 from kilometre 1790 to kilometre 1818, approximately the the Koidern River #1 Bridge to the White River Bridge. The works consists of but is not limited to: Loading, Hauling, Placing and Compacting Granular "C" and Granular "A"; Excavating Borrow Materials and Constructing Road Embankment; Restoring Roadway Surface and Slopes; Removing and Disposing of Existing Culverts; Supplying and Installing Culverts; Excavating Interceptor, Intake and Offtake Ditches; Restoring Existing W-Beam Guiderail and Concrete Barrier, Supply Engineer?s Office and Inspector Residence Trailers; Traffic Control; and Environmental Compliance. Highways & Public Works is seeking a contractor to restore about 17.5 km of the Alaska Highway #1 between Koidern River #1 Bridge and White River Bridge. Work includes granular base placement, borrow excavation, embankment construction, roadway and slope restoration, culvert removal and installation, ditch excavation, guardrail and concrete barrier repairs, traffic control, trailers for field staff, and environmental compliance. This is a major highway rehabilitation job in the Beaver Creek–Destruction Bay area, aimed at improving road safety, drainage, and long-term pavement performance.
