The Water Survey of Canada requires a helicopter to transport hydrometric technologists and their equipment to remote hydrometric sites in British Columbia. The aircraft must accommodate up to 830kg, including passengers and equipment, and be equipped with GPS, ELT, satellite tracking, a satellite phone, and a first aid kit. The contractor's base must have a heated indoor washroom, and pilots should be prepared for varying weather conditions during site visits lasting 1-3 hours.
