Transport Canada has issued a tender in Ontario for research and model development to validate and improve BLEVE emergency response distances in the Emergency Response Guidebook. The contractor must review existing BLEVE hazard modelling methods, define required variables and datasets, build a data management and QA strategy, develop an open-source Python predictive model, and compare results against current ERG guidance for propane and LPG incidents.
