The Government of Canada, through Shared Services Canada (SSC), is seeking commercially available public cloud services for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) to enhance digital infrastructure. The goal is to establish a secure and resilient enterprise digital security ecosystem that prioritizes security, privacy, and transparency. SSC is exploring the creation of a Canadian Sovereign procurement stream for IaaS and PaaS, ensuring data sovereignty by requiring data to be processed, stored, and controlled exclusively in Canada. The National Security Exception is invoked for this procurement process.
