Public Safety Canada needs expert advisory support for Canada’s leadership in the international COSPAS-SARSAT programme. The contractor will help prepare Canadian positions, negotiate updates to the programme agreement, support international meetings, draft technical and governance papers, and advise on emerging distress-signal technologies such as MEOSAR, second-generation beacons, return link service, and autonomous distress tracking. This work is critical to protecting Canada’s role in global search-and-rescue satellite coordination.
