Employment and Social Development Canada seeks Task-Based Professional Services for an independent assessment of labor practices on digital platforms in Canada. The project aims to encourage improvements in working conditions for gig workers. Two consultants (one senior and one intermediate) are required to develop two to three methodological approaches for assessing labor practices of at least three digital platform operators, detailing resources, scope, timelines, methodologies, and outcomes. The contract may extend for up to three additional years.
