The Government of Canada has issued a request for information across Canada for a modernized Vessel Traffic Management System. The project would replace the current VTMIS with a system that improves maritime traffic monitoring, automated alerts and risk analysis, integrated situational awareness using ice and weather data, and alignment with e-Navigation and IMO/IHO standards.
