The federal government seeks a contractor to renew the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge, a critical Ottawa–Gatineau truck and commuter link. Work includes replacing the asphalt wearing surface and buried expansion joints, cleaning and recoating steel box girders and floor beams, localized steel repairs, catwalk replacement, concrete pier and abutment rehabilitation, masonry repairs, and a new retaining wall for slope protection.
