Canada is seeking rental of two unmanned barges equipped with articulating boom cranes and grapples for debris-clearing at St. Andrew’s Lock and Dam in Manitoba. The contractor provides the barges and crane equipment only; federal dam staff will operate them. Barges may be self-propelled or towed by Crown tugs, with all movements limited to daylight and minor inland waters. Rental period runs May 15 to October 22, 2026.
