Evidence-Based Character Assessment Tools for Promotion and Appointment Selections within the CAF

The Department of National Defence (DND) seeks Evidence-based Character Assessments for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) to improve selection processes for appointments and promotions. The assessments will include psychometric evaluations for cognitive ability, personality traits, and leadership qualities, along with 360-degree multi-rater assessments to confirm suitability for promotion or appointment. The initial contract year requires fewer than 200 assessments, increasing to around 425 annually for the remaining contract period of 2 years, with potential for three 1-year extensions.
