Mothers and Gangs Exit Program

Saskatchewan is seeking input from community-based organizations to design and potentially deliver a pilot support program for young mothers aged 15–30 and their children who are involved in, or at risk of, gang activity. The work would likely include culturally grounded outreach, in-reach at correctional, housing, and health settings, trauma-informed case support, partnerships with First Nations, and coordination across justice, health, and social systems. The goal is to help families leave gang life, improve safety, and build long-term stability. Total funding is $1.4M over four years.
