The Town of Wakaw invites sealed tenders from qualified and eligible bidders for the completion of accessibility retrofits to two facilities, one being a multi-use facility. The facilities are located near one another.Entire tender detailed on attached PDF.Scope of WorkFacility One - Wakaw Rec Centre (includes bowling alley and curling rink):Replacement of main entrance door and installation of power door opener.Reconfigure upstairs washrooms to make a fully accessible washroom and one non-accessible washroom.Reconfigure downstairs washrooms to make a fully accessible washroom and additional public washrooms.Reconfigure former curling rink washroom to make a fully accessible single washroom.Facility Two - Municipal building:Replacement of main entrance door and installation of a power door opener.Timeline - Work must be completed by April 30th, 2026.
