Ontario is seeking a contractor to upgrade the avionics on eight wildfire-response helicopters: one Airbus AS350B2 and seven Airbus EC130B4s. Work involves supplying and installing an integrated Garmin G500H TXI avionics solution, or equivalent, one aircraft at a time. The upgrade will modernize outdated flight instruments, navigation, and communications systems to improve safety, reliability, and mission readiness for forest fire suppression operations across the province.
